Re: Gfire Standalone Client?
Well, I think we should end this poll with the release of Gfire 0.9.0 (tomorrow), so we can start talking about how it should be
A win of "No" is quite unlikely looking at the two bars above

Re: Gfire Standalone Client?
If the standalone client is released, with Voice chat working. I can finally ditch Bloatdows
EDIT: I know this is quite the bump.

Definetly a yes since it seems like the pidgin program limits a lot of things.

Re: Gfire Standalone Client?
so...any news about standalone client?
pretty tired of playing windowed mode to be able to chat at the same time (probably thx to poor ati drivers)
would like to see some ingame chat possibility in the future

Re: Gfire Standalone Client?
Well, I've got nothing to do the next 6 months. My plan is to go on working on some ingame overlay library during that time. But that's gonna be mostly unrelated to Gfire itself as I am planning on making it usable with any app that supports plugins or some kind of IPC.

Even if he built a standalone client right now, he wouldn't have windowed mode. Pidgin can do windowed mode with a client. The difficult bit is making a windowing system, so he has to work on the actual overlay part first.
