You know, I never really thought of that. I don't know where a clean place to add that date would be, and I actually don't know when the last updated pack was uploaded. For some reason I can't get good rips off of the client anymore, since they're doing something funky. But yea, we'll add the date.

And done. I'll update it again once the icons.dll is updated, it was last updated on the date now on the page (april 17th).
Now, the way xfire updates things is that between client updates, it stores the new icons for new games into a temporary area which I don't know how to get to just yet. Once I figure that out, I can have more constant updates.

Okay, so a little after that last post I made, I found where they're stored. C:\ProgramData\Xfire\Icons\
Now I just need to figure out how to write a script to batch convert them. oGGy wrote the main conversion script, and I'm no good at bash scripting. It doesn't look that hard, but I'm still trying to work out how the language works exactly.

Okay, so I just figured out how to rewrite the script with oGGy's help. I can convert pretty much instantly now
(of course, it would help if I also had a windows version of this script, since I mostly stay on that to run steam. Wine doesn't quite cut it for me).

Re: game icons at download page
im mostly on linux and can run the script for you from time to time if u need.
i got addicted to minecraft and it runs good on linux so i dont have to reboot to windows for a while
some steam games work also fine so far with wine..but yeah...some need hardcore tweaks and then still have problems so its easier sometimes to just reboot to windows to play the damn game
thx for icon updates btw

Re: game icons at download page
Yea, no problem. I'd personally rather just do it myself as it would be easier to manage (don't have to go hunt someone down to see if they're available). My only issue is that i'm generally too lazy to switch over to Linux if I'm not currently using it. I go through phases where I'll use only Ubuntu since it feels smoother than windows and does pretty much everything I want it to do, and then I'll go through gaming phases. I'm in a mild gaming phase right now.
Also, if you want the scripts, they're up on the wiki under "installing and using game icons"
